Memories
Since Elizabeth left a comment on enjoying some past memories and since my sister Andrea just posted this I thought it might also be fun to do.
Here’s how you do it:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Oh! Fun! I remember hanging out at your house a lot when I was in college and you were in high school (for those not in the know I was friends with Lacy’s older sister Andrea). You were the ‘picked on’ child. The boys teased you by calling you Peggy (the dog’s name) and everyone else teased you buy telling you that you were a test tube baby. You actually took the teasing very well though.

I remember being in Mr. McLaren’s Zoology class with you and joking that you had a crush on him (which, let’s be honest, who didn’t have a crush on him?!) We probably annoyed him to death by talking so much and we passed a lot of notes. I can still visualize your cute little handwriting, and you used a purple pen – A LOT. ๐

Memories of Elizabeth.
You making fun of Adam and me while I was dating him. Now I know you just secretly wanted him for yourself. ๐
Doing the YMCA with our feet while in Alana’s van.
Sharing my food with you and everyone else during the breaks.
Going to GR our senior year. You wore Alana’s chiffon jacket because you didn’t like being sleeveless.
Mr. McLaren was in the ward my parents moved into when they moved to Henderson our senior year of high school. That was really weird.
I think my mom has even had his wife as a visiting teaching companion. I think you had a bigger crush on him, and he was such a nerd, liking AC DC and all.

Ah, the memories…
Actually, I wore a little sheer thingy that I bought(no idea what it was called) to GR. I still have it. I wore it to a few dances at BYU. I remember Alana had ripped her jacket so she didn’t wear it.
Yeah I probably had a bigger crush on Mr. McLaren…although I had the biggest crush on Mr. Spendlove. I don’t know if you had him? That’s funny about McLaren being in your parents ward.

Joining you in your bed upstairs when mom would wake me up for Saturday morning breakfast. (I was supposed to be waking you up.)
When you were writing to Jon G. on his mission and I would add stuff to the letters and tapes, in hopes of embarrassing you.
After I graduated H.S. I would drive you to school in the morning. You would get in the car and say, “Who has a piece of gum?” Randi and I would make you go back inside and brush your teeth.
You coming with your cute little family to visit us in Ely. I promise your girls all the chocolate milk they want, and you freak out with concerns of a sugar rush.
The semester I gave you rides home after your evening class. We would use the coupons in the Entertainment Guide to pick a place for dinner.

Elizabeth,
I remember the crush on Mr. Spendlove. I thought it was funny ’cause he’s short and your tall.
Alana’s jacket did rip. I just remember you being a little uncomfortable about something.
Andrea,
Apparently in eighth grade sleep was more important than personal hygiene to me. I’m happy to say I brush regularly now.
Jon has read studies on how sugar does not really affect children’s behavior or make them hyper, unless they’re ADD. So even though I now know that it would be OK to give them chocolate milk until they roll over from a stomach ache, we still regulate sugar intake because: One, I like to keep all the sugar to myself. Two, I think that regulating it rather than have it at their finger tips will hopefully keep weight down and their desire to constantly each it, and three, it’s so dang expensive and I only have enough money to feed my sugar needs on a regular basis, plus they’re happy with candy when I’d rather have cookies, brownies, cake or ice cream.

Andrea told me about you right before you graduated from high school and came to the institute. She said I reminded her of you, and she thought we’d get along well.
When you’re friends with Andrea you’re friends with her family as well.
I remember you and jon dating and going for ice cream with me, tom, and andrea.
I remember the beautiful ring jon and you got when you got engaged.
I remeber your wedding and reception. I remember an audiable gasp when jon removed your garter with his teeth. LOL!
I remember when you had lilah and you came to visit at like six weeks in the Bursars’ office. You were back in your prepregnancy jeans!
I remember after you had eden and talking about the nursing blankets you had made with your mother. That inspired me and I made some too. They really helped nursing in the vegas summers.
It was fun!
