Pictures at Cathedral Gorge- Part 1

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Thursday

Our Explorers.

What we did while they explored. He was reading I was relaxing.

A sweaty, happy hiker.

A happy Zarina with a happy Lilah.

A beetle. They were our regular campground visitors and they were around 2 inches in length. The girls were fascinated with them.

Cousins.  Zarina loved sitting on the bench next to Lilah and Eden.

Friday Morning

Jon and the girls hiking. What you can’t see them?

They made it to the top of that dirt hill, but not up the cliff wall obviously. For some reason I didn’t take a picture while they were sitting there overlooking their achievement.

Zarina walking around with her blanket and Spock bear.

Why are you following me strange lady? It was morning and she was grumpy, hence the blanket and bear.

Happy she’s with her daddy, but still unsure of me.

Still not sure of me.

Yay! A smile. She does like me, even if I don’t have my children around.

Camping at Cathedral Gorge – Part 1.

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Thursday the 21st we packed our little family and all our camp gear into our large sedan and left for Cathedral Gorge State Park, outside of Panaca, at 9:30 am. Jon wanted to leave at 9 but I woke up 20 minutes late because I set my alarm for 6:45 pm, not am. Andrea was amazed we were leaving so early and I was a little too. However I did realize that I had forgotten to make and pack our tuna fish sandwiches so before we really left Las Vegas we stopped at the only fast food to the freeway, or Taco Bell, for our lunch that we would enjoy later on the road. The girls loved their chicken soft tacos so I can now go to my favorite restaurant while I was pregnant, or Del Taco, without too much whining or wasting of food. Sorry I got sidetracked.

We got to camp around 12:30, or sometime around then. I’m not sure exactly because we lost track of all time once we opened our car doors and began enjoying the outdoors. The campgrounds were mostly RV friendly but not very tent friendly. We did find a nice spot on the outside of the grounds that had the most space between it and the other sites on either side. I think it was the best one for the weekend. We got there so early and on a Thursday because they told Brien that it fills up over Memorial Day weekend and as the weekend progressed it did, so we were happy to be there early and secure a nice spot for our families.

Brien and Andrea showed up later a little later that afternoon. They stopped in for only a few minutes because they had to drop Andrea’s car off in Caliente while we camped. You paid per car per night, and so to save money they parked her car in Caliente at one of the offices Brien works out of. They needed two cars for the trip, Brien’s for camp stuff and Andrea’s for Vegas stuff since they were coming to Vegas after camping.

We let the girls explore while we sat and watched them from the camp site. We told them to stay together in case one of them got hurt and to stay within seeing distance of the camp. Lilah took both rules very much to heart, and Eden did at first, but as the weekend progressed Eden would leave Lilah to go do her own thing and sometimes go farther than she should have. From camp you could hear Lilah has she pleaded/whined to Eden about staying together so they didn’t get hurt or following her since Eden wanted to do her own thing. At one point Eden went off on her own and Lilah was very distraught with us in camp. We told Lilah that it was OK to split up if she she stayed close since we could see and hear her. She stomped off saying she wasn’t going to help Eden even if she got hurt. Only a few minutes later we saw them holding hands as they hiked up a hill together. Sisters.

Once the Parks arrived and settled in a little Zarina was giddy with joy following her cousins around. While they were exploring she was just giggling and falling over every few steps. Zarina immediately feel in love with the girls, especially Lilah, and followed them around as much as she could, except when she was grumpy. Lilah loved Zarina and doted on her. Eden was a little more reserved with Zarina, but still loved sitting next to her and hiking together when they explored.

The girls explored and Andrea, Brien and I took turns taking Zarina out with them. They found a dried up wash that went to the road and they followed it many times while we were there, showing each adult the path when we went out with them. Lilah also loved looking at the tracks and trying to figure out what animals had passed through.

That night Brien made a delicious dinner for us in his dutch oven and we enjoyed smores over a fire after dark with our roasting sticks that Andrea bought for us. It was a beautiful evening but cloudy so we didn’t see many stars.

The next morning was a breakfast of egg burritos and oatmeal. I bought a table top stove and since I hadn’t found the right fuel here in Vegas Andrea brought us some from Ely. Granted I haven’t looked tremendously hard, but I have checked 4 different stores.
Jon and the girls went hiking after breakfast and hiked as far as they could up one of the neighboring hills.

Once they returned we got ready for hiking to the caves….which I will write more about at a later date.

Family Reunion Pictures

Monday, September 15th, 2008

I finally went through the pictures from our trip to Idaho.
I took over 100, but I put only around 50 in the video. 🙂

Forgive any misspellings, there always seems to be one I gloss over until I’ve already published and posted it.

The song is Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s Country home. It has a Hawaiian twist, in which I wish I lived by the beach, but I think it was kinda fitting for family reunion pictures. (I was just going to choose any random song I liked and it’s really the random song I liked and chose.)

If you want to read about our trip to Idaho and Ely you can go to these two different posts.

The rest of our trip to Idaho.

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

I have too many pictures to look through so that’s gonna wait, but so I can remember parts of the trip I’m doing the journal post now.

Saturday was the day of the actual reunion. We got to my Aunt Pat and Uncle Don’s house fairly early, or around noon. My father has one whole brother and three half sisters and one half brother. I met a lot of my cousins, many of whom I never knew existed. Most of them are a little older than I, by at least eight years. Some have children just seven years younger than me. Most of them grew up in Idaho, Oregon, or Washington. Places we never visited since they’re so far, and for other reasons such as by the third day of traveling my father would be completely annoyed with all of us kids, there are six of us. I’m sure the thought of being in a car for that long was probably too much. I am slightly grateful because trips to Utah were hard enough on me. I had to sit up front between my parents in our station wagon, since I was the youngest and smallest, until I was around twelve.

Sharma, my cousin Don Jr.’s wife, kept the kids occupied with different crafts. They decorated a folder to put the crafts in, made bookmarks, necklaces, etc. After we ate she gave the kids bubbles and side walk chalk to occupy them. Then even later in the day she organized the egg run races for the kids and adults.
I lost.
Lilah participated in two races. One with all the kids and one with the six and younger children, since the older kids were winning a lot. For the first race they had to run the whole length of the yard. For the second race they only had to run half the length of the yard. She ran the whole length and one of the cousin’s child suggested she get an award for the extra effort, so she got a pen that had both blue and red ink to it.

Eden was doing her own thing for most of the day. She also hung out with Amarah, my Uncle Mike’s granddaughter who is just two weeks older than her. I have pictures of them trading bubbles. They were really cute. She did the second egg run and  lost like her mother.

Each family was in charge of a skit,  song, or some activity. My Uncle Don had a quiz which you matched the fact with a person from his family. We had the girls, and I helped, perform the Wheels on the Bus. (I was going to do Oh Hey Oh Hi Hello, but we needed the CD and the wheels song had actions and more people could join in so I thought it would take the pressure off. ) The girls did really well. I wish I would have had someone record it, but I forgot.
My aunt Mary’s family dance to the Village People’s YMCA. Aunt Marcia’s family did a little skit where a cousin was placing their family members pretending to be trees, birds, the sun etc, and called it the gathering of the nuts. My Aunt Cheryl and her daughter sang to a Judd’s song and Uncle Mike did karate, while two of his grandchildren were to shy to demonstrate with him.

We had Christmas in August so everyone brought an age and gender appropriate gift. My Uncle Don was in charge of that and wasn’t taking any initiative on what or how to trade gifts, so I took the initiative and got them organized for the different ages and genders. He says he’s a good supervisor, but I think he needs to work on how to motivate his workers.

I liked meeting all these new family members and the girls had fun, despite some clinginess they had towards me. I’m sure all the people didn’t help. We had around 26 adults and about 25 children under the age of 18. It was busy.

I felt a little like the odd one out. My cousins that are my age didn’t come up, and everyone else was older than me or younger by at least seven years.

Sunday morning we ate breakfast at my Uncle Don’s house and then headed over to the cemetery where my grandma is buried. It was wet from a morning rain and the mosquitoes were out so after a few pictures  my mom and I packed us and the girls back into the car. I had to keep swatting mosquitoes off of Eden’s legs and Lilah had one land on her finger. I got two out of my three bites that morning and luckily the girls were never bit enough to get a bug bite.

We traveled back to Ely on Sunday. We followed my Uncle Mike to Twin Falls, ID and ate Taco Bell with him, my Aunt Robin, and their three grand kids. My Aunt Robin had a new puppy, some very small breed so it was only 4-6 lbs. Lilah adored the dog and since they shared a balcony with us at the hotel so we snuck over there and held the puppy at night. Eden warmed up to the puppy, but since it still liked to nip and chew on people she was weary of her.

My dad hurt his ankle as we were leaving the hotel Sunday morning so we stayed at Andrea’s house while my parents got a ground floor room at the motel in Ely, our original room was upstairs and the only room that had three beds to it.  Eden was not happy and wanted to  go to the hotel. She eventually got over it and was fine sharing a room with Zarina and Lilah.

I stayed up talking with Andrea and Brien till nearly midnight and then slept on their couch. We all got up a little after 8 am, or when Zarina started making noises, and my parents showed up shortly after that.

After getting fed and ready to go we stopped and fed the ducks, geese and swan at a fountain area in Ely. The girls love feeding the ducks.

We took the long way home through Caliente, opposed to going through Lund. We stopped and ate lunch and then let the girls watch another movie for the drive home.

We got in around 4:30 and Eden fell asleep right as we got to town. The little stinker did not want to take a nap. I had her wait 20 minutes before she could draw after the movie was done and since she stayed awake I gave her the items to draw with and then magazines to look at. She was being stubborn, but maybe it was because she missed daddy.

Lilah told Jon lots of things that happened and then once Eden was awake she also told Daddy what we did on the trip.

I think I’m good for any long car rides for a while.

Trip thus far

Friday, August 29th, 2008
So yesterday, nearly afternoon, we left for Ely with my parents. My dad wanted to leave his house at 9 am but he didn’t wake up till 9, so I was ready by 10 am like I promised and I just let the girls watch TV until my parents showed.  ( While waiting I also had the girls hide pictures they had drawn for Daddy. They put them in the fridge and in his drawer. ) We got to Ely around 5 and enjoyed a nice evening at Andrea and Brien’s. After dark the girls, Andrea, and I watched the stars and we saw three shooting stars. It was beautiful and even though it’s not as dark as the woods, since there was no moon, we were able to see the Milky Way and enjoy the beautiful night sky.

Today Eden woke up at 7 am. Right on target. I got her ready and sent her with my parents, who went to Andrea’s, and I continued to get showered and dressed for the day. Lilah was woken at 8 when I moved her to the other room so I could blow dry my hair. She likes to sleep in, but mostly because she doesn’t get naps anymore. After getting dressed my dad came back for us and we went to Andrea’s for breakfast. It was delicious and Zarina was a doll.

We then hit the  road to travel to Ontario Oregon, where we’re staying. The girls did wonderful for the 8 hour drive. They “read” magazines and drew pictures. Then after lunch we let them watch Toy Story 2, their favorite movie. After the movie was over I told Eden it was time for her nap and she then cuddled in and went to sleep. She is somewhat use to being in the car at naptime and I often ask her to just go to sleep and she does. Lilah also fell asleep for a portion of the drive.

We got to Ontario around 6 pm our time and 7 their time. We then headed over to my aunt and uncle’s house for a small gathering before tomorrows reunion. That’s why I’m here, for my father’s family reunion. One of my cousin’s son, Nick who’s 9, is really cute. He was watching the kids and helping me get a movie for them inside. Eden was afraid of the bugs, and  since these ones do bite I don’t blame her, so we got a movie going inside so they we’re occupied and not just causing a ruckus.

I am really not use to all the bugs. It’s funny ’cause just Wednesday with the other unschooling moms we were talking about places and how Las Vegas really has a nice dry climate with very few bugs and the ones we have don’t bite. I mean you do get bug bites, but you don’t get that many bug bites, if any. I really can’t recall the last bug bite I got that wasn’t from an ant.

I’m hoping the day will have fewer biting bugs, or we’re inside.

I’ll post pictures once home.

Ely 2008

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

Luckily we’ve been able to visit my sister Andrea and her husband Brien once a year since they’ve moved there.
It’s always fun to just visit them and enjoy the delicious food they feed us.

This year we went camping with them at Great Basin National Park at the Wheeler Peak campsite. We were about 10,000 feet above sea level. It was beautiful but the night was very cold. I’m not sure how low is got, but Ely is around 45 degrees at night and they’re only 6,200 feet above sea level so I would say 35 degrees is a safe estimate, if not modest.

We got to the campsite a little before 5 on Friday night. Andrea and Brien had camped there the night before so they had done some hiking that day. We went on the short nature trail to see how the girls might fare the next day. It was fun and we decided later that night that we would attempt to do the 3 mile, round trip,  Bristlecone Pine trail that Andrea and Brien had done that day on Saturday.

While on our nature hike Brien made dinner. A delicious roast with veggies. We then roasted “smarshmallows“, according to Eden, for smores. Lilah had about 3 smores and 3 marshmallows. Eden had less because she was too busy going done the hill next to our camp with her little lantern. Brien said she was brave and that as a kid he would have never attempted to go that far in the dark.  It was only about 30 feet, but he would be scared because his father would hide in the bushes and then scare them as kids. I’m not sure if we are nice or not cruel parents for not scaring them and letting them be brave or if we’re boring for not having more fun and scaring the wits out of them in a dark campsite. (We do play games where we scare them at home, but I think we try to not scare them in new situations that might scar them for life.)

We extinguished the fire and went to bed around 9, I think. We had a lot of marshmallows and the girls kept saying how tired they were. I think they just wanted to get in the tent since we had banished them once the sleeping stuff was laid out so it wouldn’t get too dirty.

It was a very cold night. Jon and the girls appeared to sleep fine but I woke up pretty regularly due to my cold face. My eyelids were so cold that it had the affect like I was sleeping with my eyes open and they felt miserably dry. I had to go completely into my sleeping bag or cover my eyes with a shirt to keep from waking up from the cold.

That morning while getting dressed Lilah said it was too cold of a campsite. I totally agreed. Eden awoke around 6 am so, so did everyone else in our tent. It was fun.

We had some granola and Andrea heated up water for our apple cider. It was a cold but beautiful morning. We, in which I really mean Jon, started to pack up after breakfast so we could go on the hike later that morning. Andrea and Brien had a church activity that evening, which Brien had been put in charge of, so they had to go home to Ely while we went hiking.

The Bristlecone trail was beautiful and we saw a couple does as we started the hike. We also saw a doe on the way back. The girls did the hike fairly well. Lilah and I were wearing new shoes so our feet hurt. (I know we should have worn them before the trip to break them in, but who likes to wear shoes in 100 degree weather. She had to get new shoes because her feet had grown, and I needed new shoes because my current shoes hurt my feet because I have weird feet and thus mostly wear flip flops.)

Jon completed the hike but the girls and I rested while he finished the last 10 minutes, which would have been 20 minutes with the girls. (We had no idea how much longer the hike was, we just knew we we’re close to the end. It turned out to be pretty rough right before he got to the Bristlecone Pine grove so it was better that we had waited.) While waiting we ate trail mix and talked to passing hikers.

Jon carried Eden for most of the return on the trial. She was really tired so he carried her and then would have her walk and then carried her etc. I stayed with Lilah and we talked and sang a few songs, and made up some songs. Eden also made up songs which she sang to Jon. She loves making up songs when she’s by herself.
The weather was perfect for the hike. Since we were in the mountains there was always a cool breeze. It was perfect for long sleeves.

It took us 3 hours to hike the 3 mile hike. After the hike we packed back into the car for the drive down the mountain. We ate at the cafe connected to the Lehman Caves visiting center. We haven’t taken the tour yet, and hopefully we can next time we pass through Ely.

After eating we headed to Andrea and Brien’s. Showers and the comfort of electricity awaited us.  I stopped by the Church activity for food that evening and took Zarina back home so Andrea could help clean up. I enjoyed the Olympics while we waited for them to return home.

The girls shared a room with Zarina and Jon and I were in the living room. We didn’t have the air mattress pumped up enough so whenever he moved I woke up and whenever I moved he woke up. It was a warmer, but still restless night like the night before.

Zarina started making noises a little after 7 am so I checked in on the girls. Eden was awake and Z had seen me so I had no choice but to pick her up. I watched her until she got a little more fussy and then gave her to Andrea around 7:30.

We had breakfast and since church wasn’t till 1 pm for them we were able to visit that morning. Lilah and Eden loved Zarina’s toys, I guess I only need baby toys to keep them entertained, and Eden said she didn’t want to leave Ely. Too bad for her because we left there around 11:30 am.

It was a nice visit and I always just enjoy being with family.

I slept like a rock Sunday night. I don’t remember waking up or turning over till that morning. I was so tired that the bathroom light hadn’t awoken me when Eden went in there sometime that night. Jon found her asleep on the bathroom rug with the light on. (We sleep with our door open for better air circulation and normally the bathroom light is too bright for my eyes.)

Thanks for having us and bringing extra camping gear Andrea and Brien. We all enjoyed it and the girls are telling everyone about their adventure to Ely.

Here’s a video of our trip.  (The song is by They Might Be Giants and is called ‘C is for Conifer’.)

Ely- Zarina’s Blessing

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

This weekend we did a very short trip to Ely to visit Andrea and Brien and to see Zarina blessed.

We left late on Saturday around 1 o’clock. (Jon was topping off fluids and accidentally put the pink windshield wiper fluid in the pink coolant fluid. It might have been OK, but since we were going on a long trip with very few towns and a lot of nothing in between we thought it would be better to have the engine flushed to be on the safe side. He was there for 3 hours. Ugh.)

We got on the road and the girls and I got excited when we we saw that there was snow on the mountains outside of Alamo.

Are you sure you want to go this way?

We went the long way, or scenic drive to Ely through Caliente.

The Union Pacific train station in Caliente. Jon said he rode though Caliente several times as a kid on the train. (His father worked for UP.)

We stopped and played in some snow on the roadside.

08-eden.jpg

07-lilah.jpg

I will say I thought it was pretty until Jon decided to throw snowballs, which he did immediately after getting out of the car.

06-no-snowballs.jpg

The girls weren’t in the snow clothes I brought and I didn’t want them getting wet from the snow sticking to them.
OK I also didn’t want them getting dirty.

They loved it and wanted to make a snow angel like Daddy had, but I was wanting to get back into the warm car and onto the road again.

09-snowangel.jpg

Jon mentioned how driving in the snow made him feel like he was on a different planet.
I’d have to agree.
Neither of us grew up in snow, Jon did go on a mission to New York, but that has been over 10 years ago.
Snow is just foreign to us Las Vegans.

010-whats-this-white-stuff.jpg

I just noticed this guys headlights weren’t on.

It was pretty. The scenic drive wasn’t very scenic with the snow storm, but it was still pretty.

04-scenic-drive.jpg

Uh, where’s the scenery?

05-scenic-drive.jpg

We’ll have to visit Mount Charleston for some snow. The girls just loved it and maybe next time I’ll let them get dirty and wet.

We got to Ely around dinner time and headed over to Andrea and Brien’s for a short visit.

Eden loved Zarina and wanted to hold her.

012-eden-with-zarina.jpg

013us.jpg

The next day while getting ready for church Eden began to smell. So I gave her a bath and Jon inspected her dress.
A poopy diaper that she had that morning had leaked on the dress, so it smelled. We decided we’d better dress her in her pants rather then have her be stinky and in a dress.

The sacrament meeting was nice and we headed over to Andrea and Brien’s for a delicious meal of pulled pork sandwiches.
It was all of Brien’s family and then us, and his one neighbor.
(My parents wanted to wait till the crowd died down since they had my aunt who has cerebral palsy with them.)

We got some pictures and then took off home.

It was a very long drive and the girls started being roosters right as we got near the city and they continued for about the 20 minute drive in. And that is Eden at the end talking, for those who think she doesn’t talk, she does talk and a lot at times.

Mt. Charleston

Friday, September 28th, 2007

On Wednesday we took an adventure with Julie, Naia, and her step-son Reagan.
We went to the beautiful Mt. Charleston, or cold mountain as Lilah liked to call it.
It really wasn’t that cold. Who knew 62 degrees could be so warm.
I don’t think we made it to Mt. Charleston, more like Lee Canyon.
We just went to some camping grounds to try to eat our food and enjoy some hiking and exploring.

We picked up some Kentucky Fried Chicken and headed towards the mountain.
We tried to eat outside in the beautiful weather but some bee’s or wasps liked our chicken and pretty much swarmed us.
( A swarm consists of more than 4 bees being around our site at once.)
Poor Reagan was totally freaked out by them, as was Julie, and they were both having a hard time, though Julie was trying to not act scared.
My girls were mostly OK unless the bee/ wasp flew around their face.
I suggested we eat in our cars so Julie agreed and we headed back to our original picnic spot. (We went to three different spots before we gave up because of the bees/wasp.)

Eden has proven to be my adventurous child. She would wander off without anyone near her. She did stay in eye range, but only because I kept reminding her to not go to far.

We found a large tree that had been cut down.

This was the best out of the 2 pictures I took.

After being in the woods we decided to take a walk along the road.

They wanted to hold onto the stroller, at first.

Eden and Lilah both wanted to wander into the woods later so we distracted them by making them run to places.

Do these pants make my diaper look big?

15goinghome.jpg

Lilah’s hives came out a little with the running so we made her walk with us as Reagan and Eden ran ahead.

We had a fun day.

Eden slept for the 45 minutes home and decided that was enough nap for the day. Lilah never took a nap. In fact I think she’s going on nap strike.

Family reunion 2007 Pictures

Friday, July 20th, 2007

I know you all have been dying to see the family reunion pictures. 🙂

Well they’re mostly of my little family and kids and from the beginning of the reunion. Turns out I took twice as many of the fire than we did of the reunion. People sitting around talking just isn’t very interesting, or if we were doing something interesting we weren’t able to take pictures due to having our hands full!

Anyways here’s our photo’s from the trip.

Time with Carolyn

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

Note: This was begun and mostly written Saturday night, I was just to lazy to change it.

It’s been a crazy day. I decided to take the girls swimming with my sister Carolyn today. We thought we’d head over to the nearest public pool and have fun. I met her at my parents house and my niece Adrianne was there. Apparently Kaitlyn had dance class so my parents were watching the baby, Howie decided he wanted to watch his sister dance.
So once Howard got there we decided to have them come along. We left my parents house for the pool around 12:30 and Eden fell asleep on the way there. I had Carolyn and Lilah go on ahead and I let Eden rest for about 10 minutes. Then once we got inside the pool area and found Carolyn and Lilah something happened and they kicked everyone out for 15 minutes or so. I wish I’d stayed in the car a little longer since you melt quickly in 115 degree weather. ( I don’t know if it was 115 but I imagine it was at least 110.) Lilah didn’t like the fountain and waterfall things they had there. She hates loud noises and getting water on her face and they consisted of both. So I mostly walked around with Lilah and Carolyn took Eden “swimming” throughout the pool. Eden had a total blast and loved being with Aunt Carolyn. Lilah eventually warmed up to the thought of not holding on to me and started jumping up and down in the pool. (The water came to her shoulders easily, so I think the depth scared her.) It was a fun day to be outside and in the water. We saw Howard, Howie and Katy a little, but they were mobile and swam around where as Lilah was not.
We got to my parents in the late afternoon and I then went to JoAnn’s to get the lining that I needed for the girl’s dresses. I now have everything I need and I plan on cutting out Lilah’s dress tomorrow. I’ll have Naia three days a week for a few weeks and on my off days I plan on taking the girls swimming. So we’ll see how much sewing I get done. If all the children sleep well I should be fine. It’s making sure they all sleep at the same time.
I hope to get one dress done a week. If I’m not lazy and I sew at night I don’t think it will be a problem. I will be sizing Eden’s dress from a 3 to a 2, so I’m doing hers last so as to not have anything but her dress to worry about. I think hers may take longer depending on when I get the help to size down her dress. (Another note: I found out today, Sunday, that somehow the zippers I bought were left at the store, so I now need to go to Henderson sometime this week. Which is no big deal since I’ll need my mom to refresh my mind on how to put in a zipper. 🙂 I don’t sew often enough to always remember what I’m doing, plus she has a zipper foot which makes the process a little easier. )

Anyways after JoAnn’s we had dinner at my parents and Eden and Lilah fell asleep on the way home. Eden is in bed, Lilah is watching a movie.
I’m subbing in Primary for the 9 year old class tomorrow. I still need to get the lesson figured out. I like to reformat them so I have the scriptures listed before the questions. In the lesson’s it’s always the question and then the answer, which confuses me when I’m teaching. It’s an okay bunch of kids so I’m hoping it goes well. We’ll see though, and I’m teaching them next week also so I hope it goes smoothly.

Update: The class went well. The girls were more disruptive than the boys which kinda surprised me. They were pretty good in the class but once we got to sharing and singing time their attention span was all of 30 seconds.
I’ve also got most of Lilah’s dress cut out. I should be able to cut out the rest after the girls go to bed. I’m excited to start sewing tomorrow.
